Who is this for?

Individuals who have an increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s due to genetics

Anyone having challenges with memory and cognition

Those who have already been diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment or Alzheimer’s disease

Research indicates that many factors leading to the development of Alzheimer’s and other forms of cognitive impairment are preventable. Our team utilizes the work of Dr. Dale Bredesen through the ReCODE and REVERSE programs to do everything we can to help prevent and treat mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer’s Disease.

Our program includes evaluation and monitoring by Dr. Nina Lewis-Larsson, ND, Jessica Reid, nurse practitioner and Emily Maude, Holistic Nutritional Consultant. We will assess, order labs, monitor progress and develop treatment strategies based on results.

For those already experiencing mild cognitive impairment or diagnosed dementia such as Alzheimer’s Disease we recommend you commit to our 6-month program where we can encompass different treatments to support your health in the best way possible.

For those looking for baseline testing and prevention based on family history or genetics you are welcome to pursue the 6-month program or pay as you go.

If you decide to proceed with the 6-month program this consultation fee will be applied to your package price.

What does the 6-month program include?

  • Full medical intake and health history
  • Cognitive screening (MOCA or Mini-cog assessment)
  • Blood work requisition for a complete panel of tests under Alberta Health
  • Any additional testing appropriate for each individual
  • Nutrition evaluation and consult to start on Ketogenic or keto-flex diet
  • Prescription drug and supplement assessment for potential drug interactions and overview of specific drug changes that might be necessary
  • Physical Exam: Neurologic exam and vitals
  • MRI referral if necessary
  • Neuropsychiatric referral if necessary
  • Recommendations for individualized supplements and intravenous medications to help support neurologic function
  • Additional time spent ordering and reviewing labs, ordering and reviewing imaging, ordering personalized supplements and prescriptions suggested by the data and answering patient questions via email
  • Cognitive assessment via two full CNS vital signs neurocognitive testing reports and PDFs as well as MOCA exam testing

Consultations

Initial Evaluation

  • 1½ hour evaluation by Dr. Nina Lewis-Larsson
  • 1 hour evaluation by Jessica Reid, Nurse Practitioner
  • 1 hour evaluation by Emily Maude, Holistic nutrition consultant

Follow-up Visits

  • Initial follow up visit (approximately 2-4 weeks after initial evaluation) 1½ hours for Dr. Nina Lewis-Larsson and 1 hour with each of the two other two practitioners.
  • Subsequent monthly 45 minute follow up appointments with each of thee three practitioners.

  • Baseline assessment of hormones

  • Electrolyte levels
  • Cholesterol levels

  • Protein intake levels

What else may be recommended for cognitive support that is not included in the base plan?

  • IV therapy: Infusions of nutrients and minerals followed by white matter supporting phosphatidylcholine and completed with the powerful antioxidant glutathione. IV’s are generally recommended weekly for 6 weeks and biweekly for 6 weeks following
  • Specific private testing such as assessment for toxicity, Lyme’s disease, mold exposure, hormone metabolism, viral load impact, genetic traits etc.
  • 3D Brain MRI to assess hippocampal volume and other structures
  • Supplements based on an individual’s needs
  • Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy
  • Prescription medication if needed
  • ReVERSE program subscription

What is the cost for the program?

  • Baseline program is $4,600 dollars for the 6-month program
  • Addition of IV therapy is $255 per IV therapy treatment
  • Private testing: varies depending on what is recommended
  • $75 USD per month for ReVERSE subscription
  • MRI: $695
  • Supplements are generally $300-600 per month
  • Prescriptions are generally $50-300 per month

Most labs are covered by AHS however some speciality labs are not. Unfortunately, consultations are not covered by health coverage.

We will review medical and family history, assess medications and supplements, identify the specifics surrounding the cognitive decline or concerning family traits, perform physical exams including a cognitive assessment exam, order individual extensive lab work, and initiate a personalized treatment plan

Treatment recommendations utilize nutrition changes, supplements, IV therapy, brain training stimulation, exercise recommendations, sleep and stress support, and interventions for hormones, inflammation, thyroid, blood sugar, toxicity and viral load when indicated.
